AUSTIN FILM FESTIVAL ANNOUNCES AMC AS RETURNING SPONSOR FOR
THE 2023 ONE-HOUR PILOT AWARD
AMC returns as the official sponsor and judge for the One-Hour Pilot Award of the 2023 Teleplay Competition. The AMC One-Hour Pilot Award is open to any pilot script written in the one-hour format for an original television series. AMC will review the top scripts submitted in the category and will determine the semifinalists, finalists, and winners. Finalists will be given the opportunity to meet with a representative from AMC during this year’s Conference (October 26 – November 2) or over the phone at a later date.
Entry Requirements:
- Requires an additional $25 entry fee
- Must first be entered in either the Drama or Comedy Pilot categories
- Scripts must be 45 pages minimum to be considered
About Austin Film Festival Screenplay Competition
Entering its thirtieth year, Austin Film Festival & Writers Conference is a non-profit organization dedicated to furthering the art, craft and business of writers and filmmakers and recognizing their contributions to film, television, theater, and new media. AFF champions the work of aspiring and established storytellers by providing unique cultural events and services, enhancing public awareness and participation, and encouraging dynamic and long-lasting community partnerships. This project is supported in part by the Texas Commission on the Arts. The 30th Annual Austin Film Festival will take place October 26 – November 2, 2023.
