Ragged Heart is an emotional trek through one man’s grief following the death of his daughter as he attempts to make sense of the last thing she left him: a poem containing her final thoughts on life. With a haunting edge and an underlying message about what it means to pursue the things you love, the film sets the audience up to take an introspective look at their own passions in life. Through music, the filmmaker explores the connections we forge while delving into the often harsh reality of following your dreams. Set at the intersection between what you love and what it costs you, this film twists on itself in the best way, keeping you glued to the screen until the final moments. This is definitely a film I’ll have to watch again in order to receive the full effect.
