Can my documentary have distribution before I submit?
You bet! We screen documentaries and narratives with and without distribution. However, if your film does have distribution prior to screening at AFF, it will be ineligible for a Jury Award.
What is the difference between narrative short and narrative short + Enderby?
The Enderby add-on to the Narrative and Student Short categories is an exciting opportunity to travel to Los Angeles and learn from the Enderby team during their next production! All films entered are still considered for the festival, regardless of the Enderby add-on.
How can I get more involved with the festival?
You can support the festival mission by volunteering in Oct, screening submissions, reading screenplays, and spreading the word to all your creative friends!
What kind of films do you like to see?
We like movies with a strong story, memorable characters, and that aren’t afraid to try something new.
