Connecting people: It’s one of the things we do best at AFF: tear down those velvet ropes and throw the with those creating. Our podcast programming is no different. With many of our podcast panelists in attendance at our Podcast Mixer, this event is guaranteed to be a great time to ask those questions you’ve been dying to ask about your favorite fiction podcasts, not to mention just geeking out about podcasts with some new found friends.

Learning how to turn an idea into a podcast into $$: If anyone is equipped to give you a hands on journey from idea to podcast script in your hands, KC Wayland is the guy! I’m just hoping his workshop will include some talk of zombies too! And following it up with a panel from Authentic talking about how you turn that podcast into $$? Saturday morning is going to be backed full of content you won’t want to miss!

Learning how to write stories that work when you only have one sense:The writers on our Writing for Audio Fiction panel all have different backgrounds from playwriting, to acting, to screenwriting. All have found a new kind of freedom in their writing through venturing into the podcast medium. I can’t wait to hear them talk about what makes a great story translate when you only have one sense to rely on.

Conversations, not lectures: Our Podcast Roundtable features panelists from all sorts of roles in the podcast world gathered in one place for intimate conversations. Sounds like a win to me!

Introducing thousands of incredible screenwriters to this emerging industry of fiction podcasting. Audio fiction isn’t new, but the ability to get it in the hands of people through their mobile device wherever they are, whatever they’re doing – that truly is new. And the writers who have jumped in have found that it doesn’t end with that device, it leads to books, TV shows and more. I can’t wait for our registrants to hear from those people first hand!
