2025 AFF Script Competition Semifinalists and Second Rounders

We are thrilled to announce this year’s advancing writers in the 2025 AFF Script Competitions! The following Semifinalists (top 2%) and Second Rounders (top 20%) have been selected from a field of 11,500+ scripts entered in this year’s Script Competitions.  

Finalists will be announced by mid-October and the winners will be announced during this year’s Awards Luncheon during AFF’s Writers Conference. If you are an agent, manager, or producer interested in contacting any of our Semifinalists from the competition, please contact scriptdirector@austinfilmfestival.com to request a copy of this year’s Producers Book which contains their script loglines and contact information.  

Semifinalists and Second Rounders are invited to attend the 32nd Austin Film Festival with a discount on registration and access to special programming events during the Conference.
