AUSTIN FILM FESTIVAL ANNOUNCES
2018 SCRIPT COMPETITION FINALISTS
AFF is pleased to announce the 2018 Script Competition Finalists. 51 scripts were chosen for the Final Round with one winner to be determined in each of the 13 categories. The winners will be announced during this year’s Conference at the Awards Luncheon on Saturday, October 27 at the Austin Club. All winners will receive a prize package including a cash amount ranging from $1,000 to $5,000, reimbursements for travel and lodging while at AFF, and access to and recognition by some of the most important writers, agents, producers and filmmakers in the industry. The Winner of the Drama Feature Screenplay Award will receive a 2-3 week stay at the Capri Residency in Marfa to further develop his or her script. In addition, Winners and Finalists in all categories will receive 1 copy of TV Writing on Demand by Neil Landau.

All of this year’s Finalist and Semifinalist scripts will be available to read at the InterContinental Stephen F. Austin Hotel in the Cloak Room during the hours of the Conference.
