What does this event benefit?
Austin Film Festival’s Young Filmmakers Program introduces the arts of screenwriting and filmmaking to young people, ages 9-18, and provides them with venues for developing their storytelling talents. The program offers kids opportunities to share their creative work with peers, the public, and professional filmmakers and screenwriters. By introducing young people to the film industry, the program hopes to provide them new mediums to express their creativity, improve their communication skills, and benefit the entire arts community.
How much are tickets?
- $110 Advance
- $95 if you’re attending the festival or a member
- $125 at walk up

Do I have to be attending the festival to go?
Nope!
What should I wear?
Film & Food attire is cowboy cocktail! You can come in cocktail attire or boots and jeans and you’ll fit right in!

What if I have diet restrictions? Will there be veggie options? Gluten Free?- etc.
We strongly suggest our chefs and participating restaurants to keep dietary restrictions in mind but ultimately we don’t pick the menu items. We allow each chef to showcase the best of their restaurant and how they see fit.

How much are tickets?
Tickets are $70. Limit to one ticket per person. Non-transferable.
How can I purchase a ticket to this event?
- You must purchase a Producer or Conference Badge in order to purchase a ticket to the Awards Luncheon.
- If you already have your Badge, you must purchase over the phone: 512.478.4795.
Will tickets sell out?
- Yes so buy early! Once tickets are sold out we will start a wait list if any seats open.
- They are first come, first serve and will go fast!
- When you get put on the wait list, we will take your credit card and information and once a ticket becomes available charge you immediately.

Can I stand in the back?
Unfortunately due to fire code and safety regulations, all patrons must be seated so NO
What should I wear?
Anything from jeans and a t-shirt to your Sunday best. If you’re up for a competition award you might have to make a speech so be prepped for pictures!
Do I get to pick my seat?
No, Austin Film Festival staff seats each person individually and strategically- we want to put you with good people to network!
Can I sit with my writing partner/friend?
Again, we encourage you to split up for the 2 hours and get some new contacts!

Where are the parties?
Parties happen at various locations around town- bars, warehouses, restaurants. Keep an eye on the website as we’ll be posting once they are finalized.
Can my child come to the party?
No, all events are 21+
I’m a student can I attend?
If you’re over 21… per TABC Law each person must be over 21 to be admitted to the events.
What should I wear?
Whatever you are comfortable in!
What is the atmosphere at the events?
Mix and Mingle! Very laid back and easy. Network, Network, Network!
Will food/drinks be provided?
Yes at most of the parties, drinks will be provided- either wine, beer, or spirit. In some cases, the parties will have food.
I would like to know more about the 8 days of Festival parties…
Our Festival parties are an excellent wind-down from the jam-packed days of film screenings, panels, and roundtables. These casual gatherings offer the opportunity to mingle, meet, and network with other writers with a big fat martini or brewsky in hand. The seeds to many a Hollywood deal have been planted at one of our late-night parties. Learn more here.
