The humor found in this bizarre thriller is refreshing and fun. The journey of this “rarito”, a man named Tomas with OCD trying to control a situation that is getting out of hand, makes of hilarious interactions between him and the rest of characters – my favorites being those between Tomas and Francisco, the town detective. It is also ironic that Tomas may actually be less weird than all the rest of the people in town. Another one of my favorite elements of the story was how the score of the film really plays a big part in the story’s narration, almost like another character of the film. And not to mention that a woman in danger is no damsel in distress. Definitely a fresh take on the murder mystery story.
