AUSTIN FILM FESTIVAL REVEALS FIRST SLATE OF FILMS FOR 23rd ANNIVERSARY LINE-UP
INCLUDES FIVE WORLD PREMIERES, NEW ROOSTER TEETH SERIES CRUNCH TIME,
AND MARQUEE TITLES GIMME DANGER AND THE SALESMAN
Austin, TX – August 9, 2016 – Austin Film Festival (AFF), the premier film festival recognizing writers’ and filmmakers’ contributions to film, television, and new media, announced today the first slate of films included in the 2016 lineup.
Taking place this October 13-20, 2016, AFF will present the entire first season of Rooster Teeth’s new comedic series Crunch Time, including the World Premiere of the final two episodes. AFF will also host the premieres of a variety of competition films, including the documentary Monogamish, examining the topic and viability of monogamy with Dan Savage, and comedy Brave New Jersey with Tony Hale, Anna Camp and other cast members in attendance.
The complete list of programming, including over 100 more films as well as hundreds of panels, will be announced in mid-September. In the meantime, check out our current list of films here!

Brave New Jersey

Crunch Time – Season 1

Forushande (The Salesman)

After their old flat becomes damaged, Emad and Rana, a young couple living in Tehran, are forced to move into a new apartment. Gimme Danger presents the story of iconic punk legends the Stooges and their legendary frontman Iggy Pop. Director Jim Jarmusch tracks their emergence and adventures and misadventures while charting their inspirations, challenges, and long-lasting legacy.
