“AUSTIN FILM FESTIVAL’S ON STORY” PREMIERES SEASON SIX ON PUBLIC TELEVISION
AUSTIN, Texas—April 13, 2016— Austin Film Festival (AFF), also known as “The Writers Festival”, is pleased to announce that its original series, On Story, premieres its sixth season on Saturday, April 16th, 2016, on public television stations nationwide. Available in over 85% of US markets including New York, LA, Dallas, San Francisco, D.C., and Houston, On Story gives viewers an inside look at the creative process behind some of our most popular and beloved films and television shows.
This season’s 14 all-new episodes feature interviews and discussions with Chris Cooper (Adaptation), America Ferrera (Ugly Betty), Rodrigo Garcia (Last Days in the Desert), Norman Lear (All in the Family), Nicole Perlman (Guardians of the Galaxy), Issa Rae (The Misadventures of Awkward Black Girl), Carl Reiner (The Dick Van Dyke Show), Gary Ross (Pleasantville), the season premiere with John Singleton (Boyz n the Hood), and many more. Each On Story episode traces a theme through these conversations, and many highlight the topic by pairing a specially selected short film previously screened at AFF.
