The Austin Film Festival is dedicated to championing the work of aspiring and established filmmakers, defined as screenwriters, directors, editors, producers, actors and all those artists who use the language of film to tell a story. The AFF furthers the art, craft and business of filmmaking by providing unique cultural events and services, enhancing public awareness and participation, and encouraging dynamic and long-lasting community partnerships.

Summer Film Camp: Making Comedy Shorts
Ask any writer: it’s easy to make someone cry, but can you make them laugh? In this workshop students will study the special skills it takes to make funny movies. Students will work in teams to produce their own comedy short films, taking their projects all the way from script to screen. The final product is sure to be a side splittin', bone ticklin', knee slappin' good time.
June 28 – July 2 (ages 13-18) 9 am - 4 pm
July 26 – July 30 (ages 9-12) 9 pm - 4 pm
