The Austin Film Festival is dedicated to championing the work of aspiring and established filmmakers, defined as screenwriters, directors, editors, producers, actors and all those artists who use the language of film to tell a story. The AFF furthers the art, craft and business of filmmaking by providing unique cultural events and services, enhancing public awareness and participation, and encouraging dynamic and long-lasting community partnerships.

Bryan Brucks

Bryan Brucks is the owner of BRUCKS ENTERTAINMENT a diversified management and production company. Mr. Brucks brings fourteen years experience as a manager/producer at a variety of production companies before forming his latest venture. As a producer, Mr. Brucks produced the indie comedy DEEP IN THE VALLEY written and directed by Christian Forte which stars Denise Richards, Scott Caan, Tracy Morgan, and Chris Pratt. He will also produce the romantic comedy ENGAGEMENT GAMES set up at Graham King’s company (THE TOURIST, THE DEPARTED) GK FILMS. He is producing a Camelot story called MAN AT ARMS with Echo Lake Productions. He has sold a pitch to WARNER BROS BLENDED that he’s producing with KARZ ENTERTAINMENT. He also is producing MISSING LINK set up at the WALT DISNEY COMPANY written by CAT & DOGS 2 scribes Ron Friedman & Steve Bencich.

On the television side, Mr. Brucks’ clients have written on such shows as SEINFELD, ONE TREE HILL, MURPHY BROWN, and GRACE UNDER FIRE. He has had several clients produce webisodes from brands ranging from Sierra Mist to Mountain Dew to Adam Sandler’s Happy Madison. His client, Eric Gravning (UT grad), is writing TOM & JERRY for Warner Bros. and just sold his spec MR. BURNOUT to PARTICIPANT PICTURES.

Before forming his own management-production company, Mr. Brucks was an executive at KUSTOM ENTERTAINMENT where he set up three motion pictures in six months including finding David Kagjanich’s film TOWN CREEK which Joel Schumacher directed. Before Kustom, Mr. Brucks was an executive at Universal Studios based production company, Larger Than Life Entertainment (Gary Ross and Jane Sindell) where he worked on a various films including SEABISCUIT. Mr. Brucks is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame and apologizes in advance for the football team.
